While nothing quite compares to a professional spa treatment, there are wonderful ways to bring that sense of calm luxury into your own home. Our lead therapist Sophia shares her top tips for creating a genuine at-home spa ritual.
Set the Scene
The spa experience begins with your environment. Dim the lights, light a few candles (pure beeswax or soy candles are ideal), and diffuse calming essential oils — lavender, bergamot, and sandalwood are wonderfully relaxing. Put your phone on silent, hang a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and set aside at least 90 minutes.
The Bath Ritual
A magnesium salt bath is deeply restorative for both body and mind. Add 2 cups of Epsom salts to warm (not hot) water, along with a few drops of your chosen essential oil and a tablespoon of carrier oil like jojoba or sweet almond. Soak for at least 20 minutes.
DIY Face Mask
Mix two tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt with one teaspoon of raw honey and a squeeze of lemon juice. Apply to clean skin and leave for 15–20 minutes. The lactic acid in the yogurt gently exfoliates, the honey is antibacterial and deeply moisturising, and the lemon adds a gentle brightening effect.
Self-Massage
Warm a generous amount of your favourite body oil in your palms and spend 10–15 minutes massaging your legs, arms, and neck using long, sweeping strokes toward the heart. This boosts circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Wind Down
Finish your ritual with a cup of chamomile or rose tea, a good book, and an early night. Your skin and your nervous system will thank you.
Of course, for truly transformative results, book a professional treatment with our team. We’ll take care of everything.
